Hello! Jacob here. Allow me to be the first to welcome you to a new project that I have been working on a blog to provide information, news, and updates to our artists and fans alike. This is the first edition of the M&B blog! We would like to keep you all in the loop with what we’re up to and the music industry. Sit back and get comfy; there’s a lot of exciting stuff coming up from our music friends around the area.
Halloween has come and gone, Autumn is in full swing, the seventy-degree weather has been halted by the crisp air that mid-autumn brings. Leaves are changing and the inescapable cloud of holiday cheer is rolling in rapidly. Some may call it terrifying, others are too busy already singing Christmas carols to notice it. The holidays are full of joy and family, good food and good times, and most importantly, music. Classical artists have come out from under their rocks in search of a gig during the busy holiday times as the demand for these artists skyrockets come Halloween. Don’t fret, classical artists. We got you covered! At M&B Booking, we look to fill as many positions as we can for churches and venues who need musicians to supply the holiday cheer. Currently, we have a roster full of willing and more-than-capable artists. So venues- come forth and allow us the pleasure of bringing the magic this season! For those who have an interest in performing during the holidays, M&B can provide you with performance opportunities. Get exposure, get experience, and get paid! For more information on our holiday services, visit the Contact form on our website.
New to our roster is a band by the name of Tiny Hueman! Despite their name, they’re not a small band by any means. We are super excited to have them aboard and to see where they go from here. Tiny Hueman is a five-piece indie rock band from Philadelphia, PA. The group was initially formed in December 2016 by Dustin Miller and Richie Hollahan, while the two began writing music in Hollahan’s basement during the cold winter months. After self-recording and releasing their demo “Growing Bones,” Miller and Hollahan quickly realized they had something special going, and decided to book time at the Headroom Studios in Philadelphia (Hop Along, Modern Baseball, The Districts). When they finished writing five songs, they enlisted Dustin’s cousin Kevin to play drums on what would become their studio debut EP entitled Shallow. The band performed on Philly’s largest FM alt-rock station, Radio 104.5 on release day of Shallow, and has played to packed crowds all over the North East from Philly to Brooklyn. In June 2017, the band officially added three new members - Kevin Miller, Vinny Vaccaro, and Josh Halberstadt to solidify their lineup.
Tiny Hueman has since recorded their sophomore EP Drift at The Headroom Studios, engineered/produced by Kyle Pulley of Thin Lips, and will be releasing on November 24, 2017! The momentum is rolling, and the guys in Tiny Hueman have their eyes on becoming the largest band in the world.
Their new single for Drift called “Hollowhead” was dropped on Friday, November 10 and it is a jam! I know that I have a problem because I can’t stop listening to it. On that same day, the boys headed down to Newark, Delaware and played a studio session at the WVUD performance studio at the University of Delaware. The studio session will be aired on November 28th so give it a listen! They’re a great group of guys and I look forward to hearing their entire EP soon enough!
